Marc Faber: 100% Chance of Global Recession

And in a live interview on CNBC’s Fast Money Halftime Report, Faber again warned that economies of the world may be on the brink of a serious slowdown.
Faber indicated that while investors remain focused on Greece and Europe – other issues, bigger issues are looming. And they’re more threatening.

“As an observer of markets – whenever everyone focuses on one thing – like Greece and Europe – maybe they miss issues that are far more important – such as a meaningful slowdown in India and China.”
----------
“I think we could have a global recession either in Q4 or early 2013." When asked what were the odds, Faber replied, "100%."However, in the near term Faber also sees potential for a market rally.

Faber said the bullish catalyst would be Greece exiting the EU.

“I think the market would be relieved if finally Greece exited the euro

What Happened Here?

When I was growing up and into my 30s I never even heard about people with ADHD, Autism, Food Allergies or for that matter Allergies of any kind. Cancer was rare. Never heard of AIDS, in fact didn't know any Gay people until I was in College. People died of other things first I guess. No one even knew of Cholesterol HDL OR LDL. Sunscreen hadn't been invented. A good tan was GOOD. We ate the wrong things, drank bad water and breathed bad air according to today's standards. We had lead paint on our windows, burned lead in our cars, played with liquid mercury, inhaled too many fumes sometimes. BUT, we survived and I guess if I am any observer..prospered. I'm glad we aren't poisoning ourselves, that we stay clean, use purel and keep kids out of danger. I just wonder if we haven't created a petri dish humanity that is now without defense from an infectious world? There must be some reason so many people are so abused of ailments never manifested before the last 40 years.
I guess one "benefit" of our economy being in the tank is less traffic. Under Obama's administration we really are better off then we were 4 years ago..at least in traffic congestion. Thanks...I think

Who is Valerie Jarrett?

Throughout her career, Jarrett has failed upward. Today she is at the pinnacle of power as Michelle Obama’s closest confidant and Barack Obama’s political soul mate. Though she is the White House official responsible for “public engagement,” she has conspicuously failed to engage. I heard this complaint about Jarrett from practically everyone I interviewed — Republicans and Democrats, African Americans and Jews. They all blamed Jarrett for keeping the president isolated even from those whose good opinion he needed the most.
Despite her lack of international experience and background in economics and fiscal policy, she is in many ways the de facto president. Against the advice of more seasoned advisers, Jarrett steers the president toward decisions that make our economy less robust and our nation less safe.
“I was at a dinner where Valerie sat at our table for ten minutes, and I wasn’t particularly impressed,” a major Obama donor told me. “She didn’t say anything interesting. I expected her to be smarter. She ain’t no Karl Rove. Karl Rove would eat her for breakfast.”

I don't know if Obama is blind, uninformed or a demogouge

This is such a losing strategy yet they persist:
As for the criticism that the Team Obama’s Bain attack is part of “nauseating” political discourse with which Booker has become “very uncomfortable,” Axelrod said, “on this particular instance he was just wrong.”
Booker is not the only Democrat to question the aggressive, negative portrayal of Romney’s work in private equity.  Former Tennessee Rep. Harold Ford Jr. said today he agreed with “the substance” of Booker’s comments and “would not have backed out.”
“I agree with him, private equity is not a bad thing. Matter of fact, private equity is a good thing in many, many instances,” the Democrat said in a separate appearance on MSNBC earlier in the day.
Former Obama administration economic adviser Steven Rattner made similar comments last week, calling a new Obama campaign TV ad attacking Romney’s role in the bankruptcy of a Bain-owned steel company “unfair.”

Creating A Passionate Work Culture

Several years ago I was in the Thomson Building in Toronto. I went down the hall to the small kitchen to get myself a cup of coffee. Ken Thomson was there, making himself some instant soup. At the time, he was the ninth-richest man in the world, worth approximately $19.6 billion. Enough, certainly, to afford a nice lunch. I looked at the soup he was stirring. “It suits me just fine,” he said, smiling.
Thomson understood value. Neighbors reported seeing him leave his local grocery store with jumbo packages of tissues that were on sale. He bought off-the-rack suits and had his old shoes resoled. Yet he had no difficulty paying almost $76 million for a painting (for Peter Paul Rubens’s Massacre of the Innocents, in 2002). He sought value, whether it was in business, art, or groceries.
In 1976, Thomson inherited a $500-million business empire that was built on newspapers, publishing, travel agencies, and oil. By the time he died, in 2006, his empire had grown to $25 billion.
He left both a financial legacy and an art legacy, but his most lasting legacy might be the culture he created. Geoffrey Beattie, who worked closely with him, said that Ken wasn’t a business genius. His success came from being a principled investor and from surrounding himself with good people and staying loyal to them. In return he earned their loyalty.

8 Rules For Creating A Passionate Work Culture | Fast Company

Fear of Reprisal means People are afraid to speak up in Obama's America

Many of the most driven, entrepreneurial types -- the kind of unstoppable hustlers who built America -- are bolting and may never return.
Why should they when they might land a fine job with that quintessential American company, Procter & Gamble? Its beauty unit is slamming the door on Ohio, and moving its headquarters to Singapore.
Or maybe they'll get a piece of Eduardo Saverin's next venture. He's the billionaire co-founder of Facebook who just tore up his U.S. citizenship.
Back in the halcyon pre-Obama days, Saverin emigrated here from Brazil, looking for opportunity. Well, he found it -- and now he's following it to Singapore.
Ah yes, it's the glorious age of Hope and Change -- when Americans are renouncing their citizenship faster than Obama can grab cash at a George Clooney fundraiser. In 2011, a record 1,789 Americans gave up their US citizenship, exceeding the totals from 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined.
But even though America is bleeding jobs and draining brains, talent, and opportunity, don't let Obama hear you complain.
The man gets very mad when you don't genuflect to his hokum. And if you make a big donation to Romney, expect O's wrath to pour down upon your cranium good and hard.
The Wall Street Journal tells us that Obama's campaign website publicly names and shames eight private citizens who gave to Romney. The president's website accuses these new public enemies of living "on the wrong side of the law," where they reap illicit profits at "the expense of so many Americans, " thereby earning "less-than-reputable records."
After Obama denounced Romney donor Frank VanderSloot of Idaho Falls, Idaho, something rather curious happened. Michael Wolf, a former Democratic law clerk from the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, began trolling through VanderSloot's divorce records. What a coincidence!

IF you live in the midwest, this is good news

WSJ -- "The Midwest has largely closed the cost gap in competing for companies with the South, traditionally the nation's cheapest region in which to do business.

A gauge of Midwestern business costs—a mix of labor, energy, taxes and real estate—stood at 96% of the U.S. average in 2010, according to an index compiled by Moody's Analytics. That is barely higher than the South's 95% of the average—and the distance between the regions has narrowed sharply over the past decade.

he then unto the ladder turns his back
looks in the clouds, scorning the base degrees
by which he did ascend. So Caesar may.

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT
1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water
2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minute
3.. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours
5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:
1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)
2. Gastric (10 days)
3. Diabetes (30 days)
4. Constipation (10 days)
5. Cancer (180 days)
6. TB (90 days)
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards – daily..
This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life. Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.
This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals ..not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.

Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.

Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks:
· Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting,
· Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
· You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
· Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
· 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
· Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive...

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

--Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

--We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.

--You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

--Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

--We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel.

--You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

--We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

--You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens.

--We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.

--We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

--You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

--You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

--We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

--You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

--We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find.

--You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.

--We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

--We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."

--I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World".

--We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

--Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots.

Sincerely,

John J. Wall

Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin & Charlie Sheen, Barbara Streisand, & ( Hanoi ) Jane Fonda with you.

P.S.S. And you won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country.

It is a lie of the devil that we should consider all cultures as equal. They are not. This is beyond belief and yet his sentence for this will be a year and a few thousand dollars fine. We have the right to use the word of God to judge cultures that are at odds with the word of God. Remember the occupants of Canna? We must guard ourselves from this influence. It is foolish for many ministries to attempt to reach people without any consideration for the culture they are trying to reach in which those people live. I know people who try to reach white collar cultures with a very blue collar approach. The good old boy act doesn't sell everywhere. I am not going to be very successful dealing in Hispanic, Chinese or Russian cultures. I have a few cultural paradigms that I am able to impact..the rest...not so much. Let's stay in our lane in ministry. We waste a lot of time and money doing things that take us no where by a foray into a culture without effect. I know full well that the word of God has impact no matter what, that there are people who come with an accent or a culture that is foreign can have influence ...yet this is a case where the exception proves out the rule. The Apostle Paul had it right. Stay in you lane.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23 (New International Version)
Paul’s Use of His Freedom
19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
I have been at college baseball games the last couple days. Lots of attendees. Very few sportsmen. Just spectators. I have observed those who are there in a few categories:

--Moms, Dads, uncles, aunts and other relations to the players

--Retired folks with nothing else to do

--Married couples on an outing with the kiddies

--"Experts" on baseball who probably never played in their life. "He shoulda got him out", "he should have hit that ball", "he shoulda caught that" .... They are constantly Shoulding on others is not sanitary

--People who used to coach teams and second guess the coaching...I hear them all the time

--Guys who never played the game but like to be hangers on

The truth is, if you were forced to, from the 5000 attendees there today, we couldn't have fielded a team...including me. The average avoirdupois among .may sports attendees is much higher than average.

Its why I am not a big fan of spectator sports...I seldom go. Don't watch much on TV. If I can't be in the game, I would rather not occupy a seat in the stadium...or the pew in a Church.
