Advice for when the really hard times come

If and when it comes, people will get by. There will be a lot of blood spilt, and in the end, we go back to a simpler way of life by choice and by necessity. Who cares if you have to do with less? nobody was born with entitlement. Feel for the rich, for in truth, they really are, (most of them) the poorest of the poor. Take care of your family, love your neighbor and share what you have.

There is a God, and he is good. He does not judge, but rather, as we as a people have turned our backs on him, he has lifted his protection, so what comes upon us, is by our own free will.

Way too many people without hope or faith, and if that's how you choose to live, well, great for you. Be miserable, be anxious. I prefer to walk in faith, try to live right, and treat everyone as best I can, regardless of how they will treat me.

The desire for money is the real root of evil, and pride... oh well, I'm off my soapbox. Bless you all.

Life is Hard, Play Short

President Palin, President Palin, President Palin (get used to it)

Bill Weir has a great editorial on President (to be) Palin. I am collecting and storing with URL's all comments and editorials saying that "Sarah Palin will never be President". I will use that to rub certain noses in later. I particularly enjoy collecting them from commenters to this blog. Anyway, speaking of comments. Here are a few about Bill Weir's oped.
--------
Palin/Bachmann 2012. With Liz Cheney as Secretary of State and Ann Coulter as Attorney General! Liz can jerk a knot in the foreign stooges while Ann clubs the domestic ones about their heads and shoulders.

"Like a mule, all liberals need a wood shampoo from time to time."
-------------
Sarah Palin represents a woman that can not be allowed to exist.

She believes every woman should be free to strive for her goals (as if that was ever a question where I come from), and happens to be a beautiful conservative with family values and Christian ideals. But liberals know that all 21st century women are unabashed feminists, vote for abortion, hate the establishment, go to the right schools and are patently liberal.
-------------------------------
The left can not afford to allow Sarah Palin to gain traction. She represents living, breathing, strong women living in every city across the world quietly getting it done every day of their lives, without fighting or hating or rebelling. They must destroy her. She lays bare the lie of the left wing feminist movement. Whether she runs for office or not, she could turn the tide of women's votes forever if women give her any credence at all. That is totally unacceptable and must be stopped.
-----------------------------------
Another one of the main reasons they hate her is because the left believes all educated women should be Democrats. They fear that Sarah will liberate the women of America from the left's extremist hold on them, and most of all, they fear America will realise the left have been fighting a war against mothers.
--------------------------------------
Image a country where women were free to become traditional mothers and not be looked down upon it, and rather than told being a mother holds them back, they are told that that the traditional mother is the heart and soul of the western civilisation - more important and more skilled than our doctors, lawyers, politicians and scientists combined.

Leftist women hate her, because they know that as women and mothers, they are trash. They look at her, and see a super human mother, that the average leftist could NEVER be. And they don't want women looking up to her and aspiring to be like her.

A NOTE ON THE LAST COMMENT: I had a liberal friend tell me that a little girl in her kindergarten class said that when she grew up she wanted to be Sarah Palin. That horrified her. How far we have fallen when someone like Sarah who should be a role model for all women, has become a liberal horror story.

By the way, I am well into her book. Her story is compelling and just like most of America. I identify with much she writes about. But, I can see how the left will hate it. It's real life. They like fantasy and pixie dust.

Sarah Palin on tour....Wish she would come to Chicago

The first three stops on the Going Rogue book tour have been exhilarating!

I am humbled by the outpouring of support and have so enjoyed meeting and hearing from such great Americans in Michigan and Indiana. Our next three stops will keep us in the Heartland, and we hope that you can make it to one of our events in Cincinnati or Columbus, Ohio; or Washington, Pennsylvania.

Enjoy the pictures and go rogue with us!

The Drumbeat of Impeachment

It seems like every president since Clinton has been drummed. The impeachment drum.

Now the natives are once again restless. Just like there were liberals who wanted to drum G W Bush out of office.

Now feet are inserted in the other shoe.

These folks are serious.

They want to impeach President Obama.

I may not agree....yet. But BHO is being very reckless. I hope he gets the message. They are out to get you Mr. President, screw up a little more and you are toast.

The lies of Al Gore

Just in case you hadn't heard, Al Gore photoshopped the cover of his new book. It is a really bad job. I won't try to explain. Yet, he gets away with it.

Where are those 11 fact checkers.

Al Gore is a phony.

People who will NEVER EVER amount to anything

I worked for many years in the human potential field. I saw people who had what it took. Who worked hard. Were devoted to winning.

On the other hand, I saw people who were devoted to working the system. Who are just willing to do only what they are demanded of.

These will NEVER amount to anything.

If there is human potential for success, there is human potential for failure. The man I hired to do work for me yesterday is the latter.

He is now in his forties and is a failure in every way. A lost cause. They exist.

I no longer believe trying to "Help" such a one is the Christan thing to do. I believe Paul's admonition to Timothy is the one we apply to a person who makes a conscious decision to NOT WORK or try.

If a man will not work, neither should he eat.

I will not give this man anything again. He must starve to come to his senses and about that I have little hope.

Closed circuit for BK@TX. Yes this is Tim. Hopeless

Why our Economy is toast... Obama is ignorant of economics

From the Wall Street Journal Opinion page:
One of the strongest factors promoting recovery from our 10 post-World War II recessions was an unshakable conviction that, regardless of the immediate trouble, the American economy is fundamentally strong. Based on this underlying confidence, recessions and recoveries roughly conformed to the principle of the bigger the bust, the bigger the boom, and vice versa.

Thus real growth in the four quarters following postwar recessions averaged 6.6% and 4.3% over the following five years. As the chief economist for Barclays, Dean Maki, said in this newspaper on Aug. 19, "You can't find a single deep recession that has been followed by a moderate recovery."

That may no longer hold. Since the current recession has lasted a record seven quarters—and has been marked by a near-record average GDP decline of 1.8% per quarter—we should be witnessing the start of a powerful and sustained recovery. Yet forecasts of a 2% recovery in growth are only one-fourth as strong as postwar experience suggests. Meanwhile, unemployment sits at a generational high of 10.2%.

Why all the pessimism? The source appears to be a growing fear that the federal government is retreating from the free-market economic principles of the last half-century, and in particular the strong growth policies that began under Ronald Reagan. A review of the economic policies instituted by President Barack Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress lends credibility to this concern.

Exhibit A is the economic stimulus package signed into law by President Barack Obama in February. Even among previous stimulus efforts, the 2009 stimulus stands out for its ineffective targeting and sheer size. With interest, it is $1.1 trillion, double the size of Roosevelt's New Deal spending as a percentage of GDP.

Virtually none of the stimulus spending was directed towards encouraging broad-based private investment, and thus failed to encourage true economic growth.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Exhibit B is tax policy going forward. It is a near certainty that Democratic-controlled Congress will allow most of the tax cuts of 2001-2003 to expire on Dec. 31, 2010. Marginal income tax rates, capital gains rates, dividend rates and death-tax rates will increase—significantly. Hardest hit by these increases will be small businesses that file under the individual income tax code as sub-chapter S corporations, partnerships and proprietorships. Yet these are the very people whose investment and hiring decisions either drive or starve recoveries.

Exhibit C is the administration's intervention in the GM and Chrysler reorganizations. Upsetting decades of accepted bankruptcy law, the administration leveraged TARP funds to place unsecured and lower priority creditors like the United Auto Workers union in front of secured and higher priority creditors. This intervention has arguably had the effect of stifling investment as wary investors watched political considerations trump the rule of law.

As Warren Buffett said at the time, "We don't want to say to somebody who lends and gets a secured position that the secured position doesn't mean anything." Gary Parr, deputy chair of the mergers and acquisitions firm Lazard Freres & Co., stated the problem more directly. "I can't imagine the markets will function properly if you are always wondering if the government is going to step in and change the game," he was quoted in The Atlantic Online in September.

Health care, the administration's signature issue, is Exhibit D. Disregarding its impact on quality and access, its plan will surely cost well over $1 trillion over the next decade. The House-passed version includes an 8% "pay or play" payroll tax and a half-trillion dollar surtax on incomes over $500,000, much of which will strike small business. Both taxes will tend to depress investment and the creation of new jobs.

And looming down the road is the proposed cap-and-tax legislation, which will cost taxpayers $800 billion.

---------------------------------------------------

If one substitutes the Blue Chip Economic Forecast's interest-rate forecast for that of the administration, deficits will increase by an additional $1.2 trillion over the administration's projected deficits. If the next decade's interest rates climb to match those of the 1980s, then the deficit would increase another $5.3 trillion. If higher interest rates then slow economic growth, the impact on the deficit would be much worse.

-------------------------------------------------------

Given the magnitude of federal borrowing, there is good reason to expect higher interest rates and strong inflationary pressures in the future.

It is hardly surprising that many investors are reaching the conclusion that this administration and Congress favor policies that virtually guarantee the economy will not return to the climate of low interest rates, benign inflation and strong growth that we knew from 1982-2007. These investors understand a simple truth that current Washington policy makers fail to grasp: When you repeal the Reagan economic program, you repeal its results.

Tragedy in the White House..... You will want to see this

Obama's Home Teleprompter Malfunctions During Family Dinner

This is what the recession REALLY looks like

I think if you want to see why we are in very deep trouble and why it's going to take a very very long time to get out of this, look at this chart.

Barack Hussein Obama can now be called an official moron, dunce and tool of the left

There is no other explanation. Barack Hussein Obama's mental capacity is damaged. What else can possibly explain this type of behavior other than the horrible possibility that Obama’s purpose is to destroy America?

I would rather believe that this President of the United States of America, the Commander In Chief of the greatest military in history, who is also the Leader of the Free World, is a Demagogic, Narcissistic, Incompetent, Loon, rather than being a Traitor to the fabric of America and an Enemy within.

Think about this - In less than one year:

1 - Obama has taken over the American banking industry.

2 - He has taken over 2/3rds of the American domestic auto industry.

3 - He has quadrupled the National Debt sending the USA towards bankruptcy.

4 – He has driven national unemployment to double digits.

5 – He is furthering the destruction of America’s ability to compete and enjoy the highest standard of living the world has know through CAP & TRADE.

6 – He has sent his attack dog (Eric Holder) to emasculate the CIA.

7 – He has personally declared the END OF THE WAR ON TERRORISM, even though TERRORISM hardly ended their war on the USA, modernity and Democracy.

8 – He is attempting to end the SECRET BALLOT used to unionize the workplace.

9 – He wants to end FREEDOM of EXPRESSION in the electronic communication industry vis a vis the Fairness Act targeting Conservative Talk-Radio.

10 – He is working OVERTIME to eliminate FREEDOM of PERSONAL CHOICE in Healthcare.

11 – He has traveled the world diminishing his own country and culture while promoting the so-called virtues of Islam, declaring to the Moslem world that America IS NOT A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY.

12 – And now he’s giving the worst of the worst a platform from where they can once again attack America, but this time through the courts and world media.

WHY? - Why is Obama doing all these horrible things to his own country?

Is it that he is so full of himself, that all he can see is his own perceived brilliance? Is it unbelievable personal incompetence? Is it an America self-hating misery? Is it insanity? Or is it treachery?

I blame the fools who voted for this dimwit. I guess it's contagious.

Woman Sentanced to 3 years in Jail and a 25,000 Dollar fine for tugging on a Christian's cross around her neck

OK, that didn't happen.

But a woman two days after the Shootings at Fort Hood tugged on a Muslim Woman's hajib. And now is facing three years in jail and a $25,000 fine.

I'm just wondering if that sword cuts both ways.

I doubt it. Why are we so deferring to Islam and so pejorative toward Christianity in our culture?

It's the Chicago Way -- The Gangsta Presidency

The Plan, The Scam, The Man, Don't ya just love it when a plan comes together?

Ignore all the gas crap and just look at how the stupid car buyer got taken to the cleaners:

If you traded in a clunker worth $3500, you get $4500 off for an apparent "savings" of $1000.

However, you have to pay taxes on the $4500 come April 15th (something that no auto dealer will tell you). If you are in the 30% tax bracket, you will pay $1350 on that $4500.

So, rather than save $1000, you actually pay an extra $350 to the feds. In addition, you traded in a car that was most likely paid for. Now you have 4 or 5 years of payments on a car that you did not need, that was costing you less to run than the payments that you will now be making.

But wait; it gets even better: you also got ripped off by the dealer.
For example, every dealer here in LA was selling the Ford Focus with all the goodies, including A/C, auto transmission, power windows, etc for $12,500 the month before the "cash for clunkers" program started.

When "cash for clunkers" came along, they stopped discounting them and instead sold them at the list price of $15,500. So, you paid $3000 more than you would have the month before... (Honda, Toyota , and Kia played the same list price game that Ford and Chevy did).

So let's do the final tally here:

You traded in a car worth: $3500
You got a discount of: $4500
---------
Net so far +$1000
But you have to pay: $1350 in taxes on the $4500
--------
Net so far: -$350
And you paid: $3000 more than the car was selling for the month before
----------
Net -$3350

We could also add in the additional taxes (sales tax, state tax, etc.) on the extra $3000 that you paid for the car, along with the 5 years of interest on the car loan, but let's just stop here.

So who actually made out on the deal? The feds collected taxes on the car along with taxes on the $4500 they "gave" you. The car dealers made an extra $3000 or more on every car they sold along with the kickbacks from the manufacturers and the loan companies. The manufacturers got to dump lots of cars they could not give away the month before. And the poor, stupid consumer got saddled with even more debt that they cannot afford.

Obama and his band of merry men convinced Joe consumer that he was getting $4500 in "free" money from the "government" when in fact, Joe was giving away his $3500 car and paying an additional $3350 for the privilege.

Think this was stupid for those who were crazy enough to swallow this wonderful scheme?

Just wait until we get health care with no additional costs over what most of us now pay for health insurance and the best medical care in the world. Think that scheme might be designed by the same people who came up with Cash for Clunkers?

Nightmare in Somalia

Last night for some reason I had a horrible nightmare of what it must be like to live under sharia law or more accurately lawlessness.

Then today I read this article about a 20 year old Somalian woman being stoned to death for adultery. Her boyfriend got 100 lashes.

I guess she was the guilty party and had to die.

I won't go into the dream/nightmare I had, but it involved horrible scenes with death, terror and torture.

I know in the next months there will be contentions that there was terror involved in the interrogation of certain people on trial from Gitmo.

It was nothing like what I saw.

To be honest, I don't believe God, Allah or whomever you invoke is in any of this horror in Somalia.

This is what is on Tee Shirts being sold in China in Honor of Obama's Visit

Don't you people understand that calling some one Red, Communist or Socialist is politically incorrect? From now on if you want to sound sensitive, open minded and educated instead of saying the "c" word (communist) you need to just say Obama follower or even Obamaist. I hope I cleared this up.

Things Noticed about BHO

President Obama:

Today I read of your administrations’ plan to re-define September 11 as a National Service Day. Sir, it’s time we had a talk…......

During your campaign, Americans watched as you made mockery of our tradition of standing and crossing your heart when the Pledge of Allegiance was spoken. You, out of four people on the stage, were the only one not honoring our tradition and reverence.

YES, “We noticed.”

During one of your many speeches, Americans heard you say that you intended to visit all 57 states. We all know that Islam, not America, has 57 states.

YES, “We noticed.”

When President Bush leaned over at Ground Zero and gently placed a flower on the memorial, you nonchalantly tossed your flower onto the pile without leaning over.

YES, “We noticed.”

Every time you apologized to other countries for America ‘s position on an issue, we have wondered why you don’t share our pride in this great country. When you have heard foreign leaders berate our country and our beliefs, you have not defended us.

YES, “We noticed.”

When your pastor of 20 years, “God-damned America ” and said that 9/11 was “America’s chickens coming home to roost”—and you denied having heard recriminations of that nature, we wondered how that could be. You later disassociated yourself from that church and Pastor Wright because it was politically expedient to do so, but we know that you continue to have secret meetings with him.

YES, “We noticed.”

When you announced that you would transform America, we wondered why. With all her faults, America is the greatest country on earth. Sir, KEEP THIS IN MIND, “if not for America and the people who built her, you wouldn’t be sitting in the White House now.” Prior to your election to the highest office in this Country, you were a senator from Illinois, and from what we can glean from the records available, not a very remarkable one.

YES, “We noticed.”

All through your campaign and even now, you have surrounded yourself with individuals who are basically unqualified for the positions for which you appointed them. Worse than that, the majority of them are people who, like you, bear no special allegiance, respect, or affection for this country and her traditions.

YES, “We noticed.”

You are 9 months into your term and every morning millions of Americans wake up to a new horror heaped on us by you. You seek to saddle working Americans with a health care/insurance reform package that, along with cap and trade, will bankrupt this nation.

YES, “We noticed.”

We seek, by protesting, to let our representatives know that we are not in favor of these crippling expenditures and we are labeled “un-American”, “racist”, “mob”. We wonder how we are supposed to let you know how frustrated we are. You have attempted to make our protests seem isolated and insignificant. Until your appointment, Americans had the right to speak out.

YES, “We noticed.”

On September 11, 2001 there were no Republicans or Democrats, only Americans. And we all grieved together and helped each other in whatever way we could. The attack on 9/11 was carried out because we are Americans.

And YES, “We noticed.”

There were many of us who prayed that as a black president you could help unite this nation. In six months you have done more to destroy this nation than the attack on 9/11. You have failed us.

YES, “We noticed.”

September 11 is a day of remembrance for all Americans. You propose to make 9/11 a “National Service Day”. While we know that you don’t share our reverence for 9/11, we pray that history will report your proposal as what it is…a disgrace.

YES, “We noticed.”

You have made a mockery of our Constitution and the office that you hold. You have embarrassed and slighted us in foreign visits and policy.

YES, “We noticed.”

We have noticed all these things. We will deal with you. When Americans come together again, it will be to remove you from office.

Take notice.

If you agree with this please pass it on to all your internet correspondents.

A prayer to St Gore of global warming now that it is officially recognized as a religion in Britain

‘Al Gore, who art in thy fully offset private jet; Nobel-prized be thy name; thy carbon-free kingdom come; on planet Earth (otherwise known as Gaia) as it should be after Copenhagen; give us this day our daily meat-free diet; and forgive us our emissions, though we don’t forgive any other big fat Americans who emit against us; lead us not into exotic holiday flights; and deliver us from climate denial; for the science is settled. Amen.”

That lacks a certain resonance, I must admit; but now that a British judge has ruled that believers in man-made global warming catastrophe should be protected under the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003, we should try to come forward with some suitable prayers for this newly identified faith.

Mr Justice Burton, of the High Court, is the man behind the ruling. He found for a “sustainability officer” called Tim Nicholson, who claimed he had been made redundant by the property company Grainger because of his beliefs in imminent man-made climate catastrophe. To be precise, the judge did not say that Nicholson had actually been sacked for that reason; only that he had the right to sue for unfair dismissal under the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations.

Why should Tim Nicholson (who looked sweet with his fold-up bicycle outside the High Court) have wanted to establish this as the reason for his dismissal? Possibly it was a desire to become an ecological hero; but I am equally inclined to see the hand of some very clever employment lawyers. In a “normal” redundancy, the departing employee is entitled only to a statutory minimum payoff together with anything already defined in his contract; but when a court finds that the employee has been sacked as a result of some form of discrimination, then there is no legal limit to the amount that can be claimed.

The left loves the empty head....Ever wonder why?

I have to wonder about liberals. Particularly the press and those who are professional liberals.

They hated Reagan. Said he was stupid. An actor with no depth.

Thought Bush One was OK but emphasized his tax pledge was a bigger deal than many others did.

They loved Clinton, mostly, but he was more conservative than they wanted.

They hated George W Bush. Bush Derangement Syndrome. Made fun of how he talked. Made fun of him as a dummy.

Of course the latest lampoon is targeted at Sarah Palin. Unfortunately there are a lot of So Called Republicans who should find themselves a home in the Democrat minority. I want them to go away. We want conservatives only. It's time to clean house. The old ways no longer work. If we don't have true patriots running for congress and the Presidency in the next four years we will continue to lose. As Rush continues to hammer home, we are at the core a conservative nation.

BUT when some guy with no published resume, with no experience in anything meaningful, with no background anyone can find and a guy with no spine shows up the left loves him. Now we are stuck with this empty suit. I wonder more about Obama’s legal qualifications and the University of Chicago’s decision to hire him as a lecturer at the law school, particularly since he lacked any significant legal writing. I can only hope that his tenure will be short. Very short.

I don't get the left. They love the empty headed. Hate the concrete. I guess like equals like.

It's time to stop being nice to PBHO. I've been far too charitable. Gloves coming off.

Not that we weren’t warned. These are the people who think there are 57 states, after all. These are the people. . . oh, well, what difference does it make now. Obama is president and he’s going to define the office for the next four years. He will leave it in shambles.

I was thankful that Bush was the kind of guy that defined etiquette in the oval office with respect, his a family that can sit behind an ex-president who witheringly insults them and still smile and shake hands. But restoring the dignity of the office after Clinton is nothing to redefining it after Obama.

What thought will need to be put into gifts for the English to indicate that we don’t, really, want to insult our ancient friend? How can we defend ourselves after the drawbridge has been laid down and the fortress disarmed? How can we find justice in a justice system so compromised?

As we have come to expect from this administration, the basic values of America (innocence before proven guilty, rule of laws and not of men) is not something they understand. As in certain political systems Solzhenitsyn described, there is no truth, just appearance.

What can you expect of an administration with people like Van Jones and with strong ties with organizations like Acorn? It is pretty sad. The bad news is that he is dividing the nation, the good news is that this is probably going to be his first and last term. I don’t believe any independents or republicans will ever vote for him again.

Why not go all the way.... Clothing production aggrevates global warming, we should all walk around naked

Go Barefoot for Gaia

In the following BBC clip, lifted from today’s ephemera, the sculptor and artistic luminary Antony Gormley shares his wisdom on matters ecological. “Dispense with your socks,” says he. “This is a time of global warming. Through our feet we can begin to feel it.” This is no doubt because “our feet connect with our brains” and “engage with time.” And what’s more, “through our feet we can begin to be one people, standing through gravity on one Earth.” Yes, standing through gravity, united in our socklessness. Go barefoot for Gaia, people. It’s “an act of solidarity.”

Careful, dear readers. That’s the white heat of insight. It burns mortal flesh.

Sarah Palin fact Checkers CHECK the facts the fact Checkers are Checking

The left wing press is working overtime to dissect Sarah Palin's new book.

Right now as we speak there are 11 writers are engaged in opposition research, er, "fact checking" research! Imagine that – 11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to "fact check" what's going on with Sheik Mohammed's trial, Pelosi's health care takeover costs, Hassan's associations, etc. Amazing.

They are "Discovering" all kinds of problems. The TRUTH? They are making it up. The good news is that there are people checking the checkers and finding them wanting.

So, I guess to my lefty friends, you will have to buy the book. You will have to read it for your selves. Sarah Needs the Money. Give her yours. Then you can take that book, read it and find the "Facts" you need to impugn her.

Why does the left fear her so much. Newsweek has a cover story on her. A smear piece. Time ditto. Left-of-center sensationalism isn't unprecedented for Newsweek magazine covers. Earlier this year, the brain trust at Newsweek declared us all socialists on their Feb. 16 magazine cover. And as Tim Graham, the director of media analysis at the Media Research Center, said then, "the only Newsweek cover that would be more obviously untrue would be ‘We Are All Objective Journalists Now.'"

The left must see her as a threat to the domination of a left wing agenda and the RINO Republican go along to get along folks.

Sarah's the real deal. She is going to be important to what is to come. The left is terrified of her. So they do what they do best. Lie. Make stuff up.

Time for truth. Buy the book. It'll do you good.
